Rhiannon hardly had friends, so it was a bit difficult to see her walking around Hogsmeade. She might go to get some supplies, or to look at books. There was also of course candy, and butterbeer that made her visit, but sitting alone at a table large enough for seven or more people was such a waste. Not to mention how she simply disliked being alone in a public place. Alone at all really, but it was inevitable. She always seemed to rub people the wrong way, and she wouldn't change a spec of herself to be able to call more people friends. She was not about making more friends, she was about making quality friends. That wasn't to say if you weren't her friend you weren't high quality, certainly you'd make an excellent friend for someone else. Rhiannon simply needed certain kinds of people, namely though who could deal with her blunt answers and rough nature. The autumn air was a bit chilly, she loved it. Only wishing for it to be colder already. Wearing a velvety soft black hat on her dark hair was hardly any contrast. But she liked her hat, and she liked the weekends where she could wear what she wanted. She traded the iron starched white shirt for a soft silk blouse, blue and black plaid in color. The black pants with only two creases for a slightly wrinkly soft pair of old blue jeans. Black patent leather shoes for some grey tennis shoes, neon green on the bottoms of them. She didn't wear her robes, but instead a cape with large buttons along the from. Almost like a pea coat. Everything soft, and comfortable. She didn't mind the uniform that badly, but it was great to be out of it. She stood just outside the entrance hall, waiting for the person who she had made plans to show around the village. She liked Ryley, he was a bit cute and innocent. Inexperienced, but that was dangerous. She wanted to be a friend for him, or at least kind of a mentor. She wasn't sure what else to think, she just wanted to teach him about things before other people got to him. Spinning lies, or improper actions. Alright, so she had taken him into the Forbidden Forest. Not a good role model thing. She offered to take him to the rood tops at night when they shouldn't be. She might actually be a terrible role model. Well, too late. She flicked her butterfly knife open and turned it around in her hand as it came to a close in her palm. She really enjoyed the tricks you could do with a butterfly knife. They were cool, and sometimes a bit intimidating against weaklings. People who actually knew how to use knives well, or how to combat against them were hardly ever scared by such a simple display. There was also wizards and their disarming spells. She never drew it on a person, she easily knew how to kill with the weapon. It wasn't a wise thing for her to draw either the knife or a wand. After all, she knew a few rather illegal spells. All offensive spells had been removed from books, in the Ministry's control. Amazing what kind of library one could find in the Room of Requirement. Don't use a dark spell. Only stupid people would use them out in the open. She knew them, studied them practiced them, and looked up counter spells for them. How does one defend oneself from a spell erased from books? Illogical. Flick. Click. Spin. Click. Click. Over and over again as she mindlessly spin the blade around in her fingers, over her knuckles, open and closed again. words : : 624 notes : : outfit

Ryley had no friends. Actually, erase that piece of information. He did have two now. However, a month or so ago, he didn't even know what a friend was. That being said, this new friend concept was relatively new to Ryley. He had, of course, asked for a definition. Apparently a friendship was defined by two people that enjoyed spending time with each other and who liked each other, courtesy of Rhiannon. She had been most helpful and very kind to him. She had shown him the beauty of the forest, introduced him to soda (along with things called "sweets" and "junk food" that occupied the same category), answered any questions he had, and even offered to take him to Hogsmeade, which was where he was headed right now.
Rhia told him to meet him by the Entrance Hall, the location to which he was heading right now. This place was wonderful. He could go into Hogsmeade (yes, he had forged his mother's signature since this was his successful "run away"). He could go outside in the grounds. The court yard and forest were rather beautiful. He had a whole castle he could walk around in. He could get lost if he wanted. No single house. No being locked up.
The first thing Lee saw when he got to the Hall: a glint of a knife. It probably wasn't the best idea to go on the offensive. Ryley tended to spew (what he was informed as) "illegal" spells, when he got scared or freaked out. Using his knife probably wasn't the best idea either. Muggles and magical people alike were usually put off by the idea that he owned said knife. However, he was happy to realize that he didn't have to do that, go on the defensive, or run, because the knife he had seen belonged to Rhia. As of today, Ryley was 75% sure that she would not harm him. She had even given him a hug. His first assumption of it being a gesture of kindness and familiarity had been correct, although his parents hadn't seen it that way.
"Hello Rhiannon," Ryley greeted as he came within earshot. "That is a nice butterfly knife. You seem to handle it well."

Ryley was a bit of a difficult case. Rhiannon couldn't help but want to look out for him, take him up and show him around. She wondered for a little bit if this was how her sister felt. If when Aiden found her she had thought her way of speaking was as interesting. She was eleven at the time, and apparently used some big words for her age. She just liked to read. It was pretty simple to pick up words and their general definitions from books. She could see him out of the corner of her eye, and flicked the blade around once more to close it. "Hey Ryley." she actually remembered his name this time. She got his name, and Edmund’s down decently well now. Ed seemed to enjoy the stir that sitting at the Ravenclaw table ignited. They'd get over it eventually. "Yeah, I got pretty good with knives. No professional training....just...trial and error I suppose. Ready to go?"
She looked him over a bit as she pushed off the wall, her knife finding it's way back into a robe pocket. Okay, she might be a bit of a mother hen sometimes. It was supposed to be a bit colder today, and especially in the morning. She just wanted to make sure he would be okay, he did mention how he didn't go outside much. He was taller than she was, but if he did get cold there was probably something warm he could drink at the Three Broomsticks. There were so many places she wanted to take him, and she didn't want to do it all in one day. It might take a few visits. "So, I'm going to take you to the sweet shop Honeydukes at some point today. Other than that, if you see something you want to look at we can go in. Alright?" Always concerned about whither he was comfortable or not, if he found something he enjoyed, anything like that which let him find his personality. It seemed like being stuck in a room without experiences kept him from finding new things to enjoy. She wanted to change that.
She hoped by now he knew he could ask her any questions he wanted. Granted it wasn't just him, she generally invited anyone to ask her questions. Just not so readily. She gave him a slight smile and headed out into the cold autumn morning. This was normally way to early in the morning for her on the days off from classes. She liked sleeping in until noon and eating lunch before lounging around for another two hours. Then maybe getting something done. Today though, she wanted more time in the village. They were supposed to be home by dinner time, so waiting until after her normal schedule left maybe a few hours to explore.
